Has anyone had any experience/success using an advocacy service such as Beacon CHC to assist with securing CHC funding?

my impression is that they all charge a lot of money and getting the funding isn’t guaranteed. I think they’re a bit of a scam. We did it ourselves with the help of a really excellent district Matron. Just make sure you understand the categories and fill in the form with as much info as possible. It takes a lot of time and effort but is worth it. We were awarded the funding immediately (which I think is rare) but then it took 10 months and a lot of phone calls for it to get paid into mum’s account but thank goodness we have it. Good luck.
agree on the post below - beacon understand the process - DST etc as it’s complex and overwhelming however if you do your research then you really don’t need them.
I spoke to them, had their free consultation then the we can refer you to our paid services …
Like I said do lots of research and make sure you really understand the difference between nursing needs and social needs for example.
