Hello all, I am just writing this post to say, my father passed away 😢 after this horrible illness got its claws into my father 3 years ago. I am so sad that he is gone but relieved for him that it’s over!! He rapidly declined after breaking his hip, I had to fight like mad to make sure he got all the care he needed and especially with CHC funding. If you do have to make the awful decision of putting your loved one into a care home, and have the funds to do it, go straight for a nursing home, the care he received there was excellent, they knew how to deal with dad. It was moving him from a residential home to a nursing home that sent him on a downward spiral. I know everyone is different with this illness but if it gets to that point, that would be my best advice.
Take care everyone 🥰💔

So sorry for the loss of your father. I hope you have a lot of support around you. I bet your father was so proud of the way you fought for him. Thank you for your advice.
Sending love and hugs at this difficult time. Your Father put up a brave fight, so please take solace in that he is now at peace. Look after yourself. x
So sorry for your loss but well done you for your fighting spirit. My brother is just starting his PSP journey and your advice is very welcome and supportive. ❤️
Thank you everyone, and thank you all so much for advice and being able to read people’s posts, you are a wealth of information. Most of the time I was telling the doctors about it, crazy they know so little about it. 🥰
