Nela is at peace

It’s been a while since my last post.

A week ago, today, Nela fell asleep and is finally rid of this awful disease. After 2 excruciating weeks of pneumonia/covid combo, she is now in heaven, back to ridding her horses in infinite pastures.

We now have to “go back” to our normal lives and routines… We’ll see… and we’ll take it day by day.

Happy Holidays to all.

Caya

Dear Caya, I am so sorry to hear of your loss but I love the thought of her no longer being restricted with her body so that she can ride her horses across the heavens. Now as you say life will go back to normal, but it won't be the same normal, so look after yourselves and be kind to yourselves and treasure nice memories. Big hug AliBee

I’m sorry, and I’m grateful for your candid take of this merciless illness. Releasing them is bittersweet, but it’s the only way to find peace.

I am standing behind you, torn between longing for the end of the pain and trauma this disease is causing my LO (and myself as caregiver) and dreading the final loss. I send you my deepest sympathies. Please be kind to yourself. No one knows how hard this is until they go through it.

That is exactly where we all were... hoping for a peaceful end to all the suffering, and questioning our wishes... but, I think, at the end, and at this point... we're all prepared for it.

Love,

Caya
