Hi, my wife has this too; we did notice that for her it was worse whilst she was on Levodopa based drugs, it would be particularly bad about half hour after taking them.

Yes, my brother’s nose drips constantly. He goes through Kleenex like crazy.

Have a look to:

and ask physician.

Yes we have this issue as well. My loved one says it's allergy but that is only because she has no time concept of how long this runny nose has been going on. Between the runny nose and thick drooling it's harder to keep up with it. I believe it is PSP related. Good luck

Yes I believe it is too. It’s very annoying. It’s wearing him and me out! But I don’t think there is anything that can be done. So it’s gobs of Kleenexes a day!

My wife had continually watering eyes. I think this is probably related to continually running nose. At the very beginning, we thought that it was allergy related and went through all the tests associated with that and everything turned up negative. Eventually, we got the PSP diagnosis and was told that the eyes and nose could both be affected by the disease and there was really nothing that could be done. She lived with that condition until the end. It is a pretty cruel disease.

Yes ! His left eye is the one that waters constantly. That has been going on a while, the runny nose in last few weeks. It’s driving him and me crazy. It’s like he can’t hardly blow it either. My nerves are just running thin. And I have a very weak stomach.

I feel for you. Is your husband still mobile? Once my wife moved to a wheelchair, it was only a matter of weeks before she passed away (now about a month and a half). You need to hang in there and just take every day as it comes and cherish the time that he is here.

Yes he is mobile but only slightly. It has gotten so much worse in last couple weeks. I do cherish each day, although I’m so worn out. I can’t imagine my life without him. I was 14 when we married. I am 62 now. He is 68. He has been my world for 48 years. I am afraid we’ll not see our 50 th. Together. So sorry for the loss of your wife. They have no quality of life. My husband can’t stand the way he is. He can’t remember how to do a lot of things now. He was a coal miner for 30 years. Very active and could do almost anything that needed done. It’s just very sad…..

I think what you will find is that when their quality of life gets to be unacceptable (everyone is different), they will just shut down on their own. I was certain that my wife would last at least 2-3 more months but then she started coughing on her food (pureed at that point). She then stopped eating and drinking and passed away within days. I know the feeling of worn out and when they pass you have the feeling that you didn't do enough. I am now learning to get over this and trying to get on with life. It is very sad and hard, but you also cannot let it totally affect the rest of your life. Wishing you the best.
