CBD/PSP and COVID Vaccine

Hello everyone! Is anyone else on here worried about the vaccine and if it's been sufficiently tested on people with neurological conditions? Anyone here been vaccinated yet and if so, did you have any side effects? My Mum has CBD and is due to get the Pfizer vaccine in a few weeks but I must admit after hearing about the some of the anaphylactic reactions, it has got me wondering if any research has been done on other vulnerable groups. Thanks for listening.

Hi, I know, it's very worrying isn't it. My Mum's review with her neurologist is this week so I'm hoping they'll have some answers. I'll give you a shout on the whatsapp. xx

Hi. I have just been on a zoom carers meeting and the vaccine came up and someone in 'the know' is going to send a link out about vulnerable people and the vaccine so when I get it I will post it. I am sure that you will get many more answers but thought I would contact you anyway. All the best AliBee

I will post details separately in a post but this is what it says about who should not have it.

Who cannot have the vaccine?

The vaccines do not contain living organisms,

and so are safe for people with disorders

of the immune system. These people may

not respond so well to the vaccine. A very

small number of people who are at risk of

COVID-19 cannot have the vaccine – this

includes people who have severe allergies

to a component in the vaccine.

Women of childbearing age, those

who are pregnant, planning a

pregnancy or breastfeeding should

read the detailed information on

nhs.uk/covidvaccination.

Just a quick update. The good news is Mum had the vaccine last Monday and seems to be doing okay. The bad news is there's a confirmed outbreak in the nursing home although everyone that's infected seems to be managing okay so far and hopefully it'll stay that way.
