Hi!! I'm new here. My dear mom has suffered from PSP for nearly 15 years, following the removal of a brain tumor (such irony!?) She is still sharp, however, she is TRAPPED in her body, especially regarding communication. I would do anything in the world to help her, as I can only imagine how frustrating, this, and all of her other ailments from this disease, must be.
My main question is....Are there any mechanisms/devices out there to help PSP patients communicate, such as the augmented communication (AAC) devices that ALS patients use??
Thank you so much in advance!!

Me and my sister tried everything. IPads were too sensitive the Lingraphica device was too simple. Instead I made a big letter board and we used it for years successfully, albeit slow, until her passing. I have a picture of it. Her doctor loved it.
It doesn’t let me paste a picture in this reply but I just did a new post for everyone with the board in it. I think you can see it if you look at the news feed!
