Hi Pat ! Happy New Year
How lovely to hear from you - and you are looking so well.
Big hug from Jean xxxx
Thanks, Pat. Happy New Year to you! Love and peace, Sarah
Happy New Years to you as well.
Looking good, happy new year xxx
It has been a year since I came to the care home and I have continued on the CBD journey. Night times are the worst when I sleep on my frozen arm and then even my good arm gets cramp when I try to turn.
I am the only one here with CBD and most people are on the dementia journey. It feel as if we are part of a happy family with different charactors.
I enjoy talking to the carers, some of which tell me of their experiences over the years, i know now the difference between "runners" and "wanderers"
It sometimes feels I am part of the cast of "One flew over the Cookoo's nest".
Oh, Pat! Great to hear from you! Such a lovely picture of you!
It looks like they are feeding you well and that you are happy there. I hope that is so!
Yes, I imagine it is difficult to have a 'normal' conversation with some of the other residents, but it sounds like you have made your mark with the caregivers - and that you could be their 'favourite'!
Agree it probably does seem like "One flew over the cuckoo's nest" a lot of the time. Was the same observation I had at the place I chose for my love. Little erudite conversation, the occasional "runaway" with handbag on arm going shopping!! Hope you are being well looked after; my love made few demands/requests so got ignored at times.
Sorry about your pesky arm! Will it move at all or is it 'stuck' to your side? Can you get caregivers to rig up a "nest" of pillows/long rolls, so that you don't roll on it when you are asleep? There are supports for babies to keep them from lying on their back (and choking). That is where my thought comes from. Know you have a scheming mind that will work on an idea - and come up with something ingenious!
If you do, let me know!! I have a pesky shoulder, the result of numerous damage and tendon tear. I could use something like that too!
Big hug!

Great photo of you. I hope you feel as good as you look.
I especially like your message at the end...except for the frozen arm and the good arm that gets cramp.
Good to hear from you and wishing you the best possible 2020. Great photo too.
Lots of love, Nanny857xx
happy new year to you too.was wondering how you were going.Jayne x
Happy New Year Pat. Great to see you remaining positive and with a sense of humour. Best wishes. ππ
It is so heartwarming to hear your positive remarks! If we all could be so content with our circumstances how wonderful it would be! God Bless!
My dear man what a wonderful photo, your face is so full of character and mischief, I sincerely hope you don't play the role of Randell Murphy by Jack Nicholson in the film and there are no Nurse Rachets lurking around. Seriously, I'm sorry you are having trouble with the arms, so pesky and uncomfortable for you. I send you my warmest wishes and feel sure you are a much loved member of the home and obviously are by your family.
Lots of love
Kate xx
Adorable photo with that hint of a smile and twinkle in the eyes. But we know how hard it is.
So glad you posted. I might do the same later.
Blessings for the New Year.

What a beautiful loving and caring face....My sister is on this terrible CBD journey and is also in Long Term Care...She also says the early mornings when she awakens is the worst part of the day as she can't move, turn on a TV or radio but has to lie until she is helped to get up and start her day...She always has a smile and never complains....Bless you both for your strength and humor...You are in my thoughts and prayers Pat....Liz
What a lovely photo. Happy New Year to you too and your daughter xx
What a joyful, gentle, beautiful face, darling man! You resemble my husband who is also on the CBD journey. A path he didnβt choose but was chosen for him and heβs walking it with joy in his heart and gratitude for each day. Wishing you peace, serenity and laughter this coming year and thank you for posting!
Great to see you and hear from you Patrick! You are looking well and I'm glad to see the CBD train is slow moving and letting you have some life π
I always appreciate that you keep in touch here - there's nothing like hearing from someone actually experiencing what we're all talking about.
Hugs for the new year! β€

You shine like Christmas! Thank you. Have been thinking of you because I had not seen recent posts. How are you?

Pat,
Happy New Year to you too. Ruth is on the same journey but just a bit behind you. You are looking very well considering everything and must keep fighting against the Cuckoo's Nest vibe. We get great pleasure listening to books on Audible - good mental stimulation with the least effort and better than the constant TV. Keep plugging on!

Pat
I think of you often & had the urge today to come & comment on this post.
You may not be able to see it or read it.
I wonder if you are still here on Earth or not.
Wherever your soul is. It is being sent love.
Hugs
