Wow! I discovered a way to include my mom in a summer tradition of freezing sweet corn! I was really concerned about having her cut, but using the bundt cake pan, it was just the right angle —- This time next summer, she may not be able to do this....but, I am quietly celebrating this accomplishment!!! Come winter ... we will appreciate this fresh sweet corn!!!

Using the bundt cake pan was a great idea. I found a lot of household items could be used for other purposes, you just have to look at the problem from another angle sometimes.

Brilliant idea. Your mom sounds as though she was a busy active lady pre illness - believe it is so Important for Moms to feel they still have a contribution to make. I am sure taking part in this ritual will have boosted her self esteem. Good job all round.

She misses cooking so very much - she was always in the kitchen. It is important to keep her involved with anything I do - I think it really impacts psychologically and brings her great joy ... mental happiness!
