Today has been a beautiful day in Ohio! Spending the day on the porch with Mom & Sam ... I’m catching up on work, Mom is listening to an audiobook, and well Sam ... he’s photobombing 🤣 Sending out good vibrations!

She loves her audiobooks - it’s like she gets to escape to another world! It brings me such joy to see that happen 💛

My son did too. When his vision went completely bad my sister sent him THE EDGAR ALLAN POE audio collection. He had read Edgar Allen Poe when he was a teenager, and I thought "He's not going to like this", but he did. Everyday he would listen to a story read by Vincent Price and Basil Rathbone. When he was finished she sent him another tape. He would listen with earphones on.... rather than out of the player.

He also listened to his music with earphones. He couldn't play his bass anymore, but he could listen.

His earphones went over his head and blocked out all sound. I am so glad you have those type of photographs. I have many of my son, but not of simple life.

Keep the photographs coming............they comfort me.

Right! Sam stays by her side ... I really do believe that nothing gets past this dog. Some days I feel like he can look into her soul and know something is going on. Since she moved into our home a year ago, he just stays very close - all the areas in the home where he would lay for the day have changed since she moved in - he lays either near her chair or outside her bedroom door. It’s sort of crazy even sharing that, because I’m sure people would think I’m crazy —- but it’s true. ❤️
