I wonder if there is a primitive, easy way to do this for ourselves...reminds me of disco music with those occiiliating lights
It reminded me of the PONs....first brought to my attention in Doidge's book THE BRAINS WAY OF HEALING (2015). I was so excited to read about the PONs (because it's non-invasive and seems to work) as my son had recently been dx with PD (turned out several years later to be PSP). Then recently there was a post of someone being involved in a trial with PONs in Canada.
The sentence that caught my attention and motivated me to post it was around the 17th paragraph ".......They were happening in more far-flung brain regions taht sputter and fall in Alzheimer's and in SEVERAL OTHER BRAIN DISEASES: (my capitalization to bring attention) the hippocampus.....and the prefrontal cortex....."
All of that to say that maybe the PONs (along with a strobe light) is the primitive easy way to do it for ourselves. HOPE....I need it to keep going....and it does spring eternal.
Gorgeous day in Los Angeles, CA, USA
hi, there, I'd be very interested in reading the article but it was not available. Any chance to copy and paste? Any non-pharma route is of interest to me. thank you!
Hi, please try again. I double clicked on the site I sent (enewspaper) at the beginning of my post and it came right up. It hasn't been trialed on people yet (soon it will be)....only mice.
maybe it cannot be opened outside the USA?
Hi Zibo, I think we need to throw in the towel. I DID copy and PASTE this address onto my post.
Maybe you could GOOGLE the title of the article....LIGHT, SOUND MAY LOOSEN ALZHEIMER'S GRIP. It was in the LOS ANGELES TIMES, March 16, 2019.
Oh how I would love to sign hubby up for this study!
