Had a telephone appointment with the doctor to ask some tablets to help with muscle spasms. She said are you sure it's not your condition are you still having chemo! I said I haven't got cancer I've got CBD obviously she hadn't checked the my records before she rung me up silly cow!

Thinking of you all

Oh my goodness that's shocking Jeanette. 🙄

Have a lovely day and hope the silly moo gave you the right medication 😊

That would be frustrating. I didn’t have a very high option of the medical community even before Larry’s PSP. I had a few medical incompetance issues with my own health. The best one was telling me the cancerous tumor in my arm was benign. Walked around with it for another year and a half before I insisted it be removed. They did found out it was cancer and started to tap dance very fast. Visions of law suits danced in their heads.

That is shocking I know people are only human but come on there's no excuse for that! I have had dealings with this doctor before she rang me up after my diagnosis and said she had made appointment to see my own doctor and she couldn't imagine how I was feeling. So wouldn't you have thought she would hold her her that I was coming and the bad news that we had just been given

that just had. I felt so sorry for the doctor she had no idea what was going on when we walk in!

Unfortunately I just had a emotional meltdown at the vets with a cat.🐺 So I am going to console myself with a big bowl of ice cream lol

Jeanette sadly some doctors shouldn't be let anywhere near patients! I honestly could write a book about them! I hope you have been sorted out now? Maybe you should ask them to put the letters of your condition on any and all of your files?

In the meantime go for that ice cream!! Tim will tell you how beneficial it is! So much so he has me addicted now! Lol

Yes do that better to know they know who they are dealing with and the condition? A lot of them have never heard of these conditions and that includes those in hospitals.

So if you can write a little about your DX and symptoms and attach the PSP list of symptoms and CBD too then so much the better! In fact print off the PSP list...it us very good. Don't know if they do a similar one fir CBD? They are so similar perhaps not?

As for the ice cream...go for it!! Lol. I like your choice...believe it or not

I have never tasted that! Might treat myself! Lol. My Granddaughter likes it so I wouldn't have to eat it all. I like Rum and Raisin..yummy! Welcome to the ice cream club!

This is such a worry. I have been lucky to get continuity at my surgery and because not urgent I get to see same doc. Dread to think what will happen if he goes and I have to see one of the others. It’ ll take them all day to read my notes! And as said before many health professionals have never heard of these conditions. Jayne xx

Yeah, they spend more than half of your visit entering stuff in the computer. They never seem to look back at what they've written the next time you see them. Apparently the computer is just CYA.

How right you are! I went to see our so called doctor when G was still alive and very ill. She gave me a lecture! Never asked why I was there. The lecture was for complaining about someone! The list goes on not one of the doctors or nurses knew what was the matter with him. He never had the care he needed and deserved and I was just his carer! So nothing wrong with me of course?

That's typical doctors receptionists for you, apologies if there are any on this forum, I'm sure you are an exception to the rule. Seriously there are some receptionists who are a bit above their station, fortunately our surgery's receptionists are all very nice and helpful barring 1 and she is a tigress.

Now that would be an odd call from the doctor's office. I hope you straightened her out and that mistake is never made again!
