Hello Muneet and welcome to the community. I feel sorry that your father has to face this dreadful condition especially being a GP. I know how it feels coz my mother who is a doctor is currently facing it. Kindly mention where are you located. I would guess your fathers condition is deteriorating and you need help with that. First of all as so many members here have said psp manifest differently in each individual. Some of them progress very fast and others at a slow pace. Unfortunately there is no treatment available currently to completely cure this condition instead what we can do is to improve the quality of life of your father by proper care. First make sure your father is managed under a qualified health institution with a neurology department and rehabilitation. The neurologist will explain the choice of drugs for your father and it’s usage along with physio therapy or exercises. Secondly make sure your father stays active most of the time. Let him engaged with all the activities he could carry out. Make sure that he don’t fall as people with psp tend to fall frequently which will adversely effect his health. Feel free to ask any questions here in the community.

Thank you

Welcome Muneet

Just adding to drganeshnarayanan's great post.

A lot of good general information can be found here:

pspassociation.org.uk/

Look under 'for professionals' and 'for carers'.

As drganeshnarayanan said. Knowing which country you are in helps enormously in terms of directing you to resources etc.

Kindly

Kevin
