Hi all anyone for a cupcake? Went to the hospital on Monday saw Dr Lamb, who works closely with Professor Morris, George has progressed quite a bit, she was pleased with his weight, she said he looked well cared for, she praised us for the care he gets, we spoke about if George needed to go into hospital, I told her we didn’t want that, we wanted him to be treated at home, she agreed with us, she listened to his chest, she said it was clear. He gets really tired now, looks so sad, but at least we have him with us for longer. They are so lovely at the hospital, so helpful, Dr Lamb said any problems just email them and they would do what they could. The cakes are for my daughter she is having a makeup party. Yvonne xxxx

Yvonne,
Doesn’t it feel comforting to have someone notice what a great job you are doing taking care of George? This job is exhausting, but it is very obvious you are putting your heart and soul into keeping George as well as he can be at this point in his illness. Lots of pats on the back for you!
All that stress and caring! And you still have time to make those amazing cakes!!
Make one for yourself in shape of a medal! You deserve it.
Well done, you! Hope that praise will bear you up when things are down. You are definitely doing all the right things.
Look after yourself too! Feet up and coffee time!
Big hugs

Wow on George and Wow on those cupcakes. Thanks for sharing.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great news about George! I'll bet you were chuffed (..do Brits still say that?
And, are those cakes yours?? They look amazing!
Thanks for the lovely post
Anne G.
Yes you could say chuffed. No the cakes are for my daughter she had a makeup party xxxx
The cupcakes look scrumptious. I would love one.
It is wonderful that the doctor and her staff take the time to acknowledge the great care you are giving George. Also, isn’t it comforting to know they are willing to do what they can and just an e-mail away.
It looks like you are quite a talented baker. Thanks for sharing the yummy looking picture.
Those cakes looks very yummy indeed.
Glad that G chest is clear with all his stress of coughing going on.
Hugs
Hi Yvonne, you cartainly are the queen of baking, they look yummy. Sounds like you have a great consultant seeing over George, someone with a heart who actually can empathise rather than just be clinical about the whole thing. Wish I could say the same about Ben's weight, he's skin and bone and the rigidity is really bad now, he keeps his legs tightly crossed and you need to force them open to dress him. I think it must be very uncomfortable and painful for him. Travelling for him is a no no unless essential as he just can't get comfortable and his bottom hurts in the wheelchair after half an hour. How is the live on carer situation, is she still with you?
Sending much love to you both

Yvonne,
We met Dr. Lamb when Ruth went up to UCL for the Prospect research thing. Really friendly and clever doctor (but so young - maybe I am getting old....)
Richard
