I can’t believe this is happening, George’s chest is bubbling, very agitated phoned 111 they are going to send an ambulance, told the doctor I didn’t want to go to Harlow hospital, he said it is your local hospital, so many bad experiences with the hospital, hopefully when they come they will say he doesn’t need to go, I just can’t believe it. I knew that this would happen, right near Christmas. Doctor asked me to hold the phone up to George so he could listen, he said his breathing sounds laboured, please please god let him not have to go to that bloody hospital, feeling really sad. Yvonne

Waiting for an ambulance
So sorry Yvonne that you are going through this. When the ambulance comes ask them what alternatives there are, if any, to going to the hospital. Does George have a a DNR and a written end of life plan? Perhaps he could have the hospice at home team or could be taken to the hospice.
Thinking of you.
Hugs

Dear Yvonne: So sorry for this stressful time Please take care of yourself - however that is possible during this tumult. You are doing everything you can for George - One last thing you must do is stay safe and calm as possible for him so he may draw strength from you. I send my prayers for you both tonight.

I hope this can be resolved for the interim. It's always like this, isn't it. From crisis to crisis with so little time in between. Please let us know and know I'm thinking of you this Christmas with love.

Hi, Yvonne. I just saw this and was glad you had George back home. So sorry he has been in such distress. And you, too. My thoughts are with you. Love, Ec/Sarah
Thank you Sarah George seems better today, but I am unwell with a throat infection, feeling really rough. Xxxx
Oh, sore throats can be terribly painful! I am sorry you have to put up with that on top of the dealing with George's recent (uptick in?) illness. I wish for you some time to rest and take care of yourself now, although I imagine that may not be an option for you. Feet up when you can...Love, Sarah
Thank you Sarah xxx hope you are keeping well? How are you doing xxxxxx
I'm doing pretty well, thanks, Yvonne. We have LOTS of snow here, and since it fell while I was away for Christmas I was shoveling around 1:00 a.m. after I drove an hour home from the airport after midnight. Good exercise. It is suddenly shockingly cold here, so, after my walk home from work, a frosty, crunchy half mile, I am drinking a little warm spiced red now, sacrificing a decent bottle, which deserves better. I'm not going out in this to buy plonk for the saucepan! On we go.
How is George? How are you? Love, Sarah
Yikes. My thermometer doesn't go low enough. The Mercury is huddling well south of 10 degrees below Fahrenheit.
Oh very cold, stY where you are too cold to go out, George look better this morning, but when he went back to bed he started coughing holding his breath, waiting for DN to come in and show us how to use suction machine, frightening are we on the final journey? Love and hugs keep warm. Yvonne xxxxx
