feeling the cold

David had CBD and about 4 years into it.

Recently he has been complaining of his legs from the knee down being really cold.

they are warm to touch but hes cold.

Anyone else had this?

Hi Kaka

It's common for folk with PSP / CBD to feel cold quite easily.

My wife often feels cold and we had to crank up the temperature in the house.

However her body temp. taken with a thermometer always reads normal.

It appears to be part of the illness I'm afraid. Nothing to do except to keep him feeling warm.

Mum has issues with temperature either too hot or too cold. She may feel either but when you touch her actually feels the opposite.

She does become cold very easily though.

She is unable to regulate her body temperature well and recently has been having her temperature spike suddenly and then drop back to normal.

Hi Kaka. W's hands and feet are cold which I put down to the Warfarin he takes. But recently he has started to mention that his knees are cold. After reading your post and the replies I'm putting the cold knees down to PSP. xx

Hi Kaka, My hubby (CBD) often gets cold limbs. Does David have the "alien limb"? If so, that limb gets less movement than the unaffected limbs, and that might be part of it. Does he exercise? I have hubby do arm swings and things to get the blood moving and I push him to walk - even a little bit- with his collator (although he's slow as a tortoise!)

I'm afraid, though, that it's mostly the disease and loss of normal signals and controls in the brain.

yes David has an alian limb its his right arm it seems to do whatever it wants.

Davids still quite mobile just slow and carful we go out most days, a trip to the bookies to do a football bet. that keeps his mind working. x
