Hi Jill, we are here, glass of white wine in hand. Have a confession.......just woken up after sleeping all afternoon due to hubby ( and so me as well) awake since 4 am. Still, We are now wide awake and ready to party. We both like the Beatles music so let's party.
Happy Party time, everyone! I'm frantically trying to get my garden cleared so I can do some planting tomorrow morning, so I can't stay - is that rude of me, to come and go? Anyway, the rain has been taking turns with the sun, so I've been interrupted in my work a lot today, and will check with you all when the rain starts back up. I will have a vodka and tonic with lots of ice in hand when I do! Beatles are great! "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is a favorite, but better for solitary angst than partying. Love to you all! Easterncedar
Hey there Mr. Jones! I hope you're getting over your pneumonia in double quick time. You and Mr. C seem to be trying to outdo one another in ways to avoid training for the big bike race. He came down with shingles last week - not too bad a case, and we got him on the antiviral med right away, although we were traveling and that took some doing - so I can't be nagging him about the bike as much as I want to. He's had a nasty couple of falls, too; I may be looking for some elbow pads for him, like yours! Please feel better soon. All the best, Easterncedar
hi eastern cedar well im very sorry to hear that mr c had shingles mate

Sooo sorry I missed the party, no proper excuse except that, like NannaB I have been awake since 4am and feeling pretty zonked out all day but had to carry on the good fight because, apart from looking after my husband, I have had my son's dog for the week-end, then cooked Sunday lunch for our lovely grandson (.the parents away.)
But I raise my glass to you and other partygoers and pop-pickers everywhere.
Love the Beatles but can't think of an appropriate one at the moment, quite like Hey Jude though.
Jill, take care of yourself and put more water with it next time!
Hi everyone, very bleary eyed this morning after the party and not much sleep ( night nurse tonight so will catch up on sleep then). I didn't see any of these posts last night. Must have had two different conversations on the go. Anyway, we enjoyed ourselves and listened to music we haven't heard for ages so gave us very happy memories.
Hello everyone! 19.0hours here in Perth Western Australia not yet got my 'drinky poos' for tonight but soon as its down stairs where I have to go for it via my stair lift! with dinner we'll have white wine from South Australia with our fish & chips. I'll raise my glass to u all! Mary
Hello Jill, Just calling to apologise for missing the party but will catch up now. Our weather is lovely at the moment so I will have a cool glass of wine sitting in the greenhouse. Nice as the weather is it's a bit windy and not too warm. I'll try to be on time for your next party. Have fun, kind regards, Jerry.
PS I will download something from Leonard Cohen as i don't have a CD of his. J.
Ah, I missed your party! I'm new on this site - I'm moving back from the US this summer to be closer to my dad who has PSP (he is 82 this year) and who LOVES Leonard Cohen! For his 80th birthday, when he was much better, I got him some tickets to go and see him in Bruges (open air concert), my brother drove him and my mum there. Thanks to my dad, I love Leonard too - my favorite is Suzanna & Hallelujah of course. Not exactly party tunes! Keep the party going, dear Jill - I'll be looking out for future ones and raise a glass of white wine to you!
sorry you missed the party but there will eb another !
good that you like LEONARD COHEN TOO- i ONLY discovered him about 5 years ago when a soloist did hallelujah at a local concert )( i was in the chorus for it_)
here i am again to apologize for not coming to the party last night -= i have read all tje blpgs and see that the usual stalwarts were there - even peter jones managed it !! well as i said before -- i am just so sorry and i will make a real effort next time
I really did the miss the party which I am so sorry for doing.
Life at the moment is going through one of those rougher patches for my hubby and consequently me. Up at 3 just got back to sleep and was then up again. Permanently knackered at the moment!
The journey is getting harder but we still try to make the most of each day.
Love to you all and especially you Jill for staying so cheerful.
