Hi Kaka1234

I'm sorry, but I am inexperienced on this one.

I'm sure someone who knows about this better than I will pop up soon.

Meanwhile you could try and reduce phlem generating foods.

Wishing you both the best

Well...all I know is my husband constantly has a runny nose.....10 times worse when he eats and drinks due to swallowing etc. He has CBD and PSP; or a combo of both the say. His nose started about 8 months ago. We thought it was allergies or a cold. It wasnt. At night he often drools and spits. I know this disease causes excess secretions from nose amd mouth. I must blow and clear his nose 30 times a day. It is one of the things I do the most for him! Doctors have no clue and no doubt will want to put him on some harder med that willl dry him out.. We dont know if we will go there yet. Take care.

My wife has PSP.

He had a cold 15 days ago. Phlegms and cough to evacuate phlegm has been a constant.

The cold has been overcome in 12 days and now she has almost no phlegm and cough for that reason.

The treatment with supervision of a physician was as follows:

1) Moisture in the environment (greater than 50%) is recommended.

2) Hydration (abundant intake of liquids (with thickener), is recommended.

3) At breakfast an envelope of Ambroxol hydrochloride (Mucosan) to fluidify the phlegm. Another envelope from Mucosan before going to bed. Remove the breakfast envelope when the situation improves.

4) Upon request: clean the nasal passages with saline serum until the air passes easily. Finish with a very light application of Oximetazoline Hydrochloride (Respir). Perform this operation always before going to bed.

5) Steam hot water with a few drops of Eucalyptus essence and a small spoonful of Vicks Vaporub three times a day and always before going to bed.

6) Sleep with the bed inclined about 20º. It is not a serious problem that swallows phlegm.

7) Paracetamol upon request.

Great regime.

I've noted it for future - thanks.

We have Olbas oil in the U.K. - If you can find it it's very good - it is a Eucalyptus product and in the old days we would, as children, have a few drops put into a bowl of boiling water and then place oour faces over the bowl with a towel covering head and bowl.
