Amanda you are totally right! Not one of them will have to use the NHS!! We need everyone on the site who lives in the UK to sign this. Please don't think because enough people have signed it your name won't matter. Believe me it will. Please spare a few seconds to save the NHS!

It would only be the wealthy who have the money to finance their health needs who wouldn't care if the NHS became obsolete, funny that most of the MP's who don't support this existence of this wonderful institution happen to come from that category. Unfortunately they don't seem to understand the lives of the vast majority of people who have paid their NI and rely on the NHS for their health needs, many of these MP's have never lived in that world, most come from very privileged family circumstances with the benefits that expensive private education brings to them. I could go on and on but that's my rant over.

Signed, though this is already happening. My daughter has recently been under the care of our local child development clinic, all the paperwork comes from Virgin heathcare. When it first came through my first thought was how ridiculous it was: surely as a company they will want to make a profit, not just the numbers to add up. I bet there is no more money going in from government, so it will end up with them streamlining the service, probably meaning that some vulnerable young people will suffer and their stressed carers.

Most of the staff in the NHS are brilliant, but as an institution it needs saving, not enough money going in, ever increasing costs, it doesn't take a genius just better organisation and funding.
