I wished I could pick you all up and bring you to the lovely place so relaxing, I keep thinking about George, wishing he could enjoy this with me. Guilty feeling will not go away, thinking about him, and hoping he is ok, there is internet on the beach so in touch all the time. My friend of 35 years arranged all this for me with help help of my children, they keep telling me not to worry when I speak to them, wish I could just shut off and not think about him so hard. Love to you all xxxxx

Bless you Yvonne, of course you can’t shut off but I’m so so so proud of you taking this fabulous opportunity! Respite breaks are absolutely necessary so as we can carry on and on and on! Of course you wish George was with you, but he isn’t, and I’m sure he is being very well cared for! So you must try and relax into it and try to have fun! Equally I really do understand your guilt! We all continually worry about our loved ones it’s normal x 🏄🏻‍♀️🏊🏻‍♀️🧘🏻‍♂️✈️⛵️🏖💕

Yvonne wish I had a friend like that! It looks so nice. Thank you for the photo so we are all with you in spirit? I know the guilt feeling. We all do! It's horrible but preferable to you becoming ill? George needs you well so enjoy your break.

So glad you wrote this post Yvonne. The past few days have been horrible for me, no where to go no one to talk to I miss him so. Wherever you are, I wish I could join you. Rest easy my friend. There are times I wonder if I will make it,

Oh, Audrey. How sad. I have also been tearful - although not alone - but it still feels lonely.

I wish you were near London. At least we could cry a bit together.

Big hug, Audrey, love from Jean xx

That beach looks very inviting. Enjoy the 'now' moment because before you know it will be time to get on that flight home and I'm sure you are longing to see George. One little request, can you bring some sunshine back, I'm so fed up with all this snow and the cold winds, brrrrr 🌨🌨🌬🌬

Lots of love Yvonne.

Ah looks lush indeed

Hope you are able to enjoy some of your lovely holiday. Lots of tlc and self care.

Easier said than done not to worry, especially when you are a full time carer but try to take some moments to switch the brain off from worry. Don't feel guilty.

Every time I try to switch of I still end up thinking about Home, have a rest laying on the beach, counting the days to come home. Xxxx

Least you are lying on that beach with the sun pouring down on you. Nothing like sun rays to take away a "few" worries.

Hopefully see you very soon.

Lots of love

Enjoy the lovely sunshine, sand and sea, it must give you some peace knowing you have your children making sure that George is OK. I have a weeks respite in March but our boys live too far away to step in, even when Ben is in the nursing home I would feel easier going away for a few days if they were there to make sure he's OK. Friends will pop in but it's not quite as reassuring as family so I think I will stay locally and just enjoy meeting up with folk but will pop in to see him ( not every day I keep telling myself) Have been to Dubai several times as Ben had to go there quite often with his work, I used to fly out to meet up with him for a long weekend and we would fly home together. We mainly stayed in the Hilton Hotel on Jumeirah Beach, where are you staying?

Love Kate xxx
