We came across some old posts on possible benefits of turmeric for PSP sufferers. Does anyone have any recent info on this? Cheers Val and Charlie - Qld Australia

Turmeric updates?
I typed turmeric into the search icon magnifying glass at the upper right of this page. This is the results for past entries about turmeric.
I just ordered turmeric and coq10 has anyone had any luck with them?
I read this thread over the weekend. I bought tumeric at a great health store today and am going to give them to my 51 year old husband starting tonight...10/23. I think the tablets are 500mg. They recommended I give him two per night. We will see. His speech is terribly slurred at this point. I tell him "one word" and when he breaks down his words I can usually understand what he is saying....usually. I've heard this might help his speech, at least for a bit, and give him hope. The health benefits are great for tumeric as an inflammatory and good for the excess/toxic buildup of tau. I will try anything for Steve at this point. He still can walk, but is getting slower and slower. Needs help standing and getting in a reclined position. His neck falls low to his chest, though he can still swallow quite well. I will keep everyone posted on the tumeric......!
That sounds positive. We have also bought tumeric tables (600mg). Charlie has some slurring speech but still able to be understood. He is very unsteady walking but continues to keep busy around our small property even though gets tired quickly & needs to concentrate on not falling. We have tumeric growing in our (Twnsville) garden so we have harvested it yesterday and replanted some. I peeled and chopped it small for the freezer and will use it direct from there in cooking Use gloves for this to avoid staining the hands. Maybe every little bit will help....val
