Good morning all. This week the doc prescribed Neupro for Mike. It's a patch that's changed once a day and may help with rigidity. Wondering if anyone has experience with it?
Thought I'd share a pic from our recent trip to FL. It was a struggle but ocean/beach made up for a lot.

Dad was put on the Neupro 2mg 24 hr patch for a while with no positive results so it was increased to the 4mg patch. He did start to experience some of the known side affects like nausea, vomiting and diarrhea after the increase. After a few times of exhibiting the side effects the patch was stopped. He never did show any benefit while on it.
To be honest Dad has never responded positively to any of the Parkinson's meds that were tried. Docs would keep upping the dosages hoping something good would happen but he experienced the side effects usually and eventually all the meds were stopped.
Thanks, Ron. I appreciate you sharing your experience. I've grown to be skeptical about any new meds or treatments. I guess we'll give it a shot and see what happens. He has been extremely sleepy but no other side effects so far.
Lovely photo. So good to enjoy these special moments. No exp with the patches. My hubby takes sinemet plus . We though it had no benefit but when he stopped it the difference was noticeable.
Hi. Billy used the Neupro patch for around 2 years. This was some 6 years ago. We found it helped in general with his symptoms such as tremor, and rigidity.he too was on the 4 mg the whole of that time. No noticeable side effects. The only reason he stopped it was because eventually it was causing skin irritations, even tho we constantly changed the area we used. He started to look like a patchwork quilt. You could see where the patch had been from the week before. . Good luck. Hope this helps.
