My mother is 4.5 years into CBD so she doesn't get out anymore. Before she got sick, she took in a old scraggly stray Calico cat she calls Stripey. Since I moved in with Momma, I can't get near it. During lunch today Stripey's kitten wandered into the kitchen. It did my heart good to see Momma excited so about anything. Guess Kitten will be staying....

Aww that is lovely!! Thank you for sharing x
Animals are great. My husband, who has CBD, loves when our daughter's dog comes to visit as he's so amusing.

Cats... and dogs can be very therapeutic.
My sister brought a kitten into the house and mom (CBD) became overjoyed with it's presence, and for awhile cared nothing except for the well being of the kitten. Funny thing was, prior to this - she never wanted a cat in the house - ever! It was nice to see how it lifted her spirits for awhile.
Keep thinking that we should get a small dog and then common sense talks to me and tells me it will be just another thing to think about. I will just have to make do when our son visits with his little dog. I'm sure that the presence of an animal is very therapeutic especially if they are cuddly. Think the cat will be staying by the looks.
Love Kate xx
Hi Kate, we got a dog about 18 months before Steve died. Best thing I did. It was bloody hard work at first, they use to have competitions, who could pee of the floor the most!!! The joy Ollie bought into the house, was indescribable. We had this lunatic charging around the house, constantly playing and making us both laugh. He made our house, a place for living in again, not a waiting room. Unfortunately Steve lost his ability to talk just before the dog arrived, so they never really got any sort of relationship going. Ollie would try, take a ball for Steve to throw for him, bless him, he tried so hard, but Steve always took too long to respond and eventually the dog gave up. But Steve was always a good source of food. If I did leave him alone, whilst eating, his plate was always clean, with nothing spilt down his front!!! Now of course, I wouldn't be with out him. I have to get up in the morning, I have someone else to think about, feed, walk regularly. He will even answer back at me, if I am trying to get him to do something he doesn't want to do!
Lots of love

Hi. Animals are so wonderful and bring such joy.
We adopted a rescue dog last year who has brought so much love and joy to Mum, she has been here a year end of July and best decision made. She was meant to be a lap dog for Mum but prefers to be on her own so not worked out that way. She was used for breeding so was very nervous around humans. She is an absolute diamond though. Mum's face lights up when she walks past and I love hearing her talk to her. It is also future planning on my part for when the day comes that I have to say goodbye to Mum. I will have Amber to keep me company and focus on. She is our first dog and I didn't realise it was possible to love a furry dog so much. I don't have kids lol
I think that is great for her. 😍🥀🌹❤️
