My seven beautiful grandchildren mean the world to me, one boy and six girls.
Today my eldest daughter agreed to add my Border terrier 'Smithy' to her family, you can just see him in the background............
I had to make this not easy decision because there was every likelihood of him pulling me over while walking when he spotted one of his many friends or even a cat. My daughter lives on a farm so I will still be able to see him.
Cheers,
Patrick.

I have been told that falling is one of the major things to guard against........ a broken hip and the operation with anesthetic can have long term effects on the frontal part of the brain.
Welcome to the place nobody wants to be! However I truly don't know how I would have coped or indeed would cope even now without the great people on this site. They are all pretty amazing. People you will be glad to call friends.
Your Grandchildren are beautiful. I guess we are all pretty proud of our Grandchildren. My only gripe is I don't have more!
You are at very high risk of falling so you have done the right thing with regards to your dog. It must have been very difficult for you?
Keep in touch and ask questions and nothing is too embarrassing as we have all seen it happen to our loved ones. My husband didn't have CBD. He was told PSP with signs of MSA. However before Xmas he was told it was MSA. So that's what went on his death cert. All of these neurodegenerative conditions have a lot if crossover however. Lots of people with loved ones with CBD or PSP. Not so many with MSA but a lot of the same problems regardless.
What beautiful grandchildren you have and I think you have done the right thing by your little dog although that must have been a very difficult thing to do. My sister had a border terrier and he was the most adorable little chap. He recently had to be put down as he was 17 yrs and it got to the point that he wasn't having any quality of life. I hope you manage to spend lots of time with your family.
