I have left my son at the hospital as I am zonked out! We were told this morning that the next 24 hours were crucial. So tomorrow we will hear the verdict. I guess they will remove all treatment and make him comfortable if they are not happy. He was unconscious when I got to the hospital and his breathing was very laboured. He has aspiration pneumonia and they say he has also had a heart attack.

Then they put him on some antibiotics and he started to improve. Still unconscious however so we spoke to him and little by little he responded. However he is in a deep sleep or maybe unconscious again when I left. He last spoke at about 6.35pm. He looks very peaceful and doesn't appear to be in any pain.

Keeping my mobile on just in case. However I am hoping to see the doctors in the morning. Don't know what life holds for him any longer.

Going to try and sleep as I am so tired I can't think and need to be able to tomorrow.

B had a good day. We have in-home hospice with all sorts of care. He is on O2 and is bed bound though he has stood on his feet with intense help twice. He is strong and sharp as a pin though a week ago he was practically comatose and surely ready to die . His left lung is still fully compromised but he has no infection which allows him to be basically the same old him mentally as before the pneumonia ordeal ! I am happy of course and even more happy because my kids who were already close are even more close and my daughter has really embraced dads needs....a prayer answered....

I was just telling Heady that PSP is a long slow slope and wherever they are we are there also. Others may assess their physical needs as dire but for PSPers the standards are so low that what they are doing IS normal. I'll tell you though what B was doing last week was way below normal even for this disease! I thank you again for thoughts and prayers.....I think I'll make a post about it
