Who tried the Pneumonia vaccine?

Good morning everyone,

Doctor suggested we give my dad the pneumonia vaccine he said it protects from 10 type of pneumonia (out of 12). Do you know if it works? Is it safe for PSP patients?

My husband had one with no ill effect but it won't ( I don't think) guard against aspirational pneumonia which PSP patients with swallowing problems can get.

Hi yes J has had this and like NannaB said it wont guard against aspirational pneumonia he also had the flu jab on the same day and has had no ill effects x

He already took the flu vaccine.

He got aspiration pneumonia 3 weeks ago for the first time. He will get the vaccine today if it has no side effect I hope it protects him somehow ..

My guy had the shot, and has had aspiration pneumonia. I'm still glad for any protection he can get. So why not?

I ha my shot about 8 months ago' no ill effects , but does it work -who knows
