Well it looks like summer - (you can't see the wind ! ) Our 48th wedding anniversary tomorrow (29th July ) Bitter sweet under the circumstances - not quite what we were expecting but that's how the dice have rolled .

Keith and I have been married for 44years now, quite an achievement these days!

Talking about the lovely summer weather I got drenched this afternoon, I could have had a full shower and washed my hair in the downpour if only I had some shower gel with me!

George and myself have been married 47 years, yes Pat it is an achievement, young people now days, separate, if there is a problem, we still carried on and got on with it, the good old days.

S and I have only made 16, so far. May be Bitter Sweet, but at least it's still relevant.. I know the 29th will always be your wedding anniversary, but it is still nicer to celebrate with V, than without her!

I know days like this are real kicks in the teeth and comments above, don't help. But we live in a "£&£@" world and small blessings must be treasured!!!

Hey Georgepa, Happy 48th! Not many marriages (at least in US) have been happily wedded for that amount of time. B and I have been married 30 years. It's hard there are no words around it. but I know that I would rather take him to be my lawfully wedded husband...for better or for worse...than not have had him and the family that we created....

Happy Anniversary George and V! Have a lovely day in sunny Devon.

D and I are going to Cornwall on Monday for a week staying with an old friend - can't wait to be back in the West Country. I have a rising sense of excitement although a bit of apprehension as well as to how we will manage. It's never easy being away from home with D but well worth the extra problems.

Thank you NannaB. I have known my friend since we were 10 AND she is a retired nurse! Lots of fun and catching up to be done and quite a few glasses of wine I expect!
