Is there anyone out there with psp had who has either had an assessment for a personal health budget or had any experience of a phb?

I am off to see my GP on the 26th to discuss the ins and outs of the plan but I get the feeling after talking to the surgery that they know very little to nothing about them!!!!

I found info on NHS direct site about it.

Thank you for mentioning it as my mum is currently being assessed for NHS continued care so may qualify for this..

Look at:

england.nhs.uk/2014/04/01/r...

nhs.uk/choiceintheNHS/Yourc...

It does not surprise me that surgery does know little about it, they are so ignorant about mental healthcare. So you need to read up on it and be well prepared. The GP is actually not the person to talk to. If you had the assessment for NHS CHC and you have qualified you should have had a session with the NHS Healthcare representative and you should have discussed this matter with them. They know of course about it and they can fill you in.

Hope this helps.
