Starting a new chain from georgepa's message: Global Scream...Carers of the World unite - lets
have a world wide scream moment - how about on the 15th November at 3pm ( allows for international time differences - more or less ) we all go outside and /scream/rage / wail vent our unified frustrations at the heavens for 30 seconds in the knowledge that all round the world people like us are feeling exactly the
same emotions . ----- Next I am thinking of organizing a "carers behaving badly day "- watch this space ! Georgepa
Post this on twitter, Facebook, websites and forums..Let's go viral!!!!!!!!!!!! If you can't scream carry a big sign outside with scream written on it.
I'd like to add it to the event pages of local newspapers for people who still read.

Fantastic Jill keep it up I have contacted Breakfast TV BBC in the hope they pick it up but I know Newspapers and media services scan Twitter and Facebook for stuff so who knows .Iwill try and promote it more tonight . Soon to be screaming Georgepa
I'm emailing my list of email contacts and telling them to pass it on and post on their forums. Think to focus on twitter and face book is the easiest. Also I have a young (32 year old) Costa Rican and I am going to have him translate it into Spanish and post. Also my husband had people in the Middle East and India on his face book and I will notify them.

Global Scream: Caregiver's Unite Saturday 15th, 3:00 England time: Pass it on.
Some Statistics:
USA:
65.7 million caregivers make up 29% of the U.S. adult population providing care to someone who is ill, disabled or aged.
[The National Alliance for Caregiving and AARP (2009), Caregiving in the U.S. National Alliance for Caregiving. Washington, DC.]
Caregiver services were valued at $450 billion per year in 2009- up from $375 billion in year 2007.
[Valuing the Invaluable: 2011 Update, The Economic Value of Family Caregiving. AARP Public Policy Institute.] -
The value of unpaid family caregivers will likely continue to be the largest source of long-term care services in the U.S., and the aging population 65+ will more than double between the years 2000 and 2030, increasing to 71.5 million from 35.1 million in 2000.
Many caregivers of older people are themselves growing older. Of those caring for someone aged 65+, the average age is 63 years with one third of these caregivers in fair to poor health.
Worldwide, 35.6 million people have dementia and there are 7.7 million new cases every year.
Some Contacts: If one of you can volunteer to send this notice to the following: WHO people:

I will organise a 'Pocklington Scream' at the PSP Meeting at 3.00pm on Saturday 15th. Twenty or so of us together should be heard outside in Pocklington and I will take some photos. Peter.
