For anyone that doesn't belong or doesn't have access to the PSPA magazine, ' PSP Matters', I would like to bring attention to the fact that the magazine does include matters relating to CBD and they have now launched a 'Proffesional's Guide to CBD'.
They have also put all CBD specific information in its own section called, CBD Matters.
They launched the guide in October and sent out nearly 500 copies to health and social care Proffesional's.
The PSPA are working on a version of the guide specially for the people living with CBD, their carers and families which will be available from April 2019.
The above guide, the Proffesional's one, can be downloaded on line. Just type in the above title.
I found it really informative, as is the PSPA magazine, I just wish I had all this to read when my husband was first diagnosed but I am sure it will now help a lot more people and carers who are on a journey with CBD.....doctors too I hope!
Love to all

I have CBD. The PSPA sent me a copy of The Proffesional’s Guide to CBD, for my GP, to help him understand this condition. He admitted that until I was diagnosed he was not aware of CBD, or that there are diseases that have no treatment or cure, in this day and age. I am fortunate in that I have a wonderful Neuro Nurse that visits me at home each month, who liaises with my GP and Consultant Neurologist at the Hospital. I am in the initial stages, at the moment, but daily I find things that are getting more difficult. Also, what I call, my melt down days. When all I can do is sleep. I also have a wonderful husband that helps me and puts up with the mood swings that I have no control over and feel really guilty for, once they are over. SO, all in all I am lucky and intend to beat this damn disease.
Hi, my husband also has a neuro nurse that visits every few weeks and liaises with the consultant Neuropsychiatrist and our GP.
She has been a rock for me but unfortunately, is due to take early retirement in a couple of months. Who knows if she will be replaced.
I will miss her input and caring nature so much. There isn't anyone else that we have much contact with these days except the lovely people at the hospice.
Horrible when a trusted professional leaves and you are left to battle on your own or the replacement doesn't offer the same support. This happened a couple of times to us and it makes you realise how important good professional support actually is.
I read the online version and it's very informative. I see a lot of what Dad went through talked about in the article. I'd like to point out you can download it as PDF, print it out for future reference or taking along to a doctor appt. This ability to download it is really useful for our non-UK members!
