Silicon Cock Rings and Blood In My Pee!

Do any of my fellow unfortunate PC travellers out there know if using a stretchy silicon cock ring could aggravate the post-RP scar tissue and radiation enhanced vascularity in my bladder neck/urethra so much so that I get blood in my urine.

Been using fairly tight stretchy silicone rings for a few months to maintain my hard on as well as keeping my balls down in the sack, as since my prostate removal they seem to pop up inside so much more easily too.

This last few weeks I have noticed blood in my urine as well as an irritation at the base of my cock and just wondered if they are the cause. I do masturbate almost every day as part of my ongoing “use it or lose it” philosophy.

I have found the cock rings make me keep my erection for longer. My nerves and muscles are still really strong and I get an intense orgasm that can now shoot a pee stream over 3 foot in the air on occasions so wonder if that is a factor in this too.

My RP and salvage radiation treatment were over 15 years ago and not had this problem before I started using the rings, so some others experience clarification would be useful.

Interested to hear if anyone has had a similar reaction.

My Urologist has me lined up for a Cystoscopy next week, but this is not something I think I can discuss with them, at this stage as the camera may find something a bit more sinister.

Regards - Brian.

How dark is the blood in your urine? I’m assuming it’s not dark or you’d have sought medical treatment quickly. To answer your question, yes, using the tight cock ring and shooting urine when you orgasm could be the culprit. Before that urine can shoot, it builds up pressure trying to force its way thru your urethra that is constricted by the cock ring. That pressure build up can damage weaker tissues back stream so to speak. I’d back off using the cock ring for a week or so and see if things improve. And definitely try to talk about this to your urologist. He/she has prob heard everything, and what’s a little embarrassment for you vs the potential of damaging things internally?

Thanks for that information MNDodgerFan, I have laid off using the rings for a day or so, but I have a PSA test the day after my Cystoscopy on Tuesday so have laid off the wanks anyway so as not to influence the result too much.

Have to admit when I used to shoot cum it would only go about 2 foot max on a good day, but not sure if not having a prostate has made my muscle spasms stronger, but then pee is a lot less thicker than cum eh?

Will see what the Urologist finds as well as me mentioning my attempts to limit the effect of my Erectile Dysfunction with cock rings. I am fairly open about things nowadays, but it is worse as I have an NHS lady Urologist.

Thanks again - Brian.

I also used silicone cockring for a fairly long period at the start to improve my erection during my masturbation and now my erections are perfect but I still use it sometimes to reduce sensitivity and last longer. I use it like you, a ring ath the base and the testicles cannot go up. Like you my entire prostate is removed and I no longer have the pleasure of ejaculating semen, I regularly have very powerful orgasms with very very strong muscular contractions in my penis but in my case I never have any urinary leak at this time. I have never had any trace of blood... Note that it can surely happen because your ring may be very tight and that the urine passes in your urethra which could damage it. But these cockring are normally designed for men who ejaculate semen, so allow the passage of pressurized liquid. With cystoscopy they will see everything.

Thanks Pierre for your reply. The cystoscopy found nothing unusual in my bladder and I discussed the use of them to the Urologist who said they should not cause anything to be aggravated by their use, as the scar tissue from my prostatectomy is further away from where the cock-ring sits.

I have to admit I get hard so much quicker with one on and I do like my balls being in my sack. Plus my erection is maintained. It is so hard not to want to have something shoot out of my cock as it used to pre-op. The increased intensity of my orgasms makes the nerves and muscles squeeze so much harder which makes the pee release so easily nowadays.

I am lined up for an ultra-sound tis weekend to see if the blood problem lies elsewhere.

Thanks again for responding.

Hey Jaffa. I'm 17 months post RP. No radiation. No glimmer of an erection either. Like you, I use cock rings to help maintain an erection after using a pump or injection, and to keep my balls from pulling up inside me. These all allow me to have great orgasms! (thank gawd!!!) I will say that you should experiment, as there are MANY different kinds of cock ring densities. I find the really stretchy ones are kind of useless except for keeping your balls from pulling up. Some are quite tight so you need to use lube and keep shaved down there. There is also a Durex one that they sell at pharmacies (chemists) that are about 3-4 times the thickness. These offer a softer hold and might be less hard on your hard-on......maybe avoid the blood?

Thanks Ejefowe, it took nearly 2 years for me to start getting hard again so keep the faith. I had reached the place where I thought I would never get another hard on, despite my surgeon insisting perseverance.

I used all types of ED medication and devices, but no show after no show. Then one night at about 2am I woke with a semi erection and realised then that perhaps my brain was influencing my need to get hard, that and an uncaring partner.

It started with a little beginning and as time progressed and viagra/cialis it got me to where I am now, my cock is nowhere as hard as it was before surgery but it makes a lot of difference having something firm in my hand as I shoot....albeit a bit of pee rather than my cum.

Good luck and hope it all starts to cum together soon for you. - B.

Thanks for the pep-talk Jaffa! I too have an uncaring partner. She tells me she loves me but has no interest in sex. I get a pity-fuck every few weeks/months but nowhere nearly enough for me. It is spirit-crushing. After not having sex with men during covid, followed by my RP surgery, I am now back to sex with a guy who, like me, is in a sexless marriage. He doesn't care about my ED and is patient as I try pumps and injections when we get together. We just have a great time! I have to stay positive and active sexually. When and if my erections come back would just be the cherry on top! Be well.

Thanks for the reply, all the very best with your recovery, don't lose heart, it takes time for the nerves to settle and repair. A caring partner makes so much difference too, my ex just could not wait for me to get aroused and that put so much pressure on me it made the situation a whole lot worse than it needed to be. Sex should be fun and all about caring and climaxing in whatever the situation is.....Hugs. B.
