I have only beer using HealthUnlocked for few days and have heard from some very caring people. Although my own sexual issues are of great concern to me I find that as I read the other posts they seem minuscule compared to many of the concerns my fellow men are experiencing as they struggle with what is coming down because this thing called Pc has picked them. Even though my dong is taking a perpetual nap and I am very frustrated, I was lucky to find a surgeon who new what he was doing and it has been 5 years last June with PSA of .01. I am alive and strolling down the Hwy of life finding new experiences.

You guys that are just starting the process I say hang in there. Make sure you fully research your surgeon’s bio. You want someone with a lot of modern day experience. I have always remembered the saying “the person who finished last in their medical school class is still called doctor “.

When you get home just take it easy and get your emotions under control. Try to kick the pain pills as soon as possible. Do your bladder exercises that your doctor tells you to. They work but it takes time. Be patient. Most of all keep your attitude positive because it gets better as you can surmises from all the post you can read.

I’m rooting for all of you.

Choosing an experienced surgeon is indeed important if surgery is the option one has chosen. But more important is taking the time to explore all of one's options and picking the one that is right for you.

I absolutely agree. The one thing you have total control over is your medical team. It’s just so important to the rest of your life that it is certainly worth taking time to choose the best team you can. And the side-effects matter! Erections and urinary control are really important to every man I’ve ever known. So is being cancer free. Take care of yourselves - no-one cares more than you.

And what gives you Hope (as the guy asks today)?

Seeing others survive even if their sex life is wacked. Most guys would choose being alive over getting laid.
