Merry Christmas to you and your husband. It seems to me that you are having prostate tests more than every 6 months. I do not think it is good for your prostate to have them too often and I think you should be asleep. I would ask the opinion of another doctor. I had 42 radiations and it lowered my PSA to under 1.000 for 4 years. I had no medical insurance and they wanted $130,000 at all the hospitals. My urologist had a machine that was newer and only charged me what medicare would pay, $30,000. After 4 years my PCa metastasized and I had 30 more radiations that cost me $42.00, because I was covered on Medicare. So they all rip us off when they can. I do not think you should be worried about changing your appointment, and get another opinion. In the 11 years I have had 3 prostate tests total. I looked at your PSA tests and they can be affected by riding bicycles, motorcycles, and anal sex. (Seriously). Your general numbers are slightly above normal and you need a second opinion. Just ask questions and keep truckin'.
