AMS 800

I'm using 4 to 6 pads a day and after careful consideration and doing a little homework I had an AMS800 (artificial urinary sphincter) installed under the hood.... Surgery done on July 13. All i can say is after all this added pain and discomfort is SOB better work!

I feel your pain...the robot ruined my Thang. .I recon was goin thru 5 diapers a day. Had to cut off fluids afterc3:00 pm..

But now after 5 years no leaks. ..except wen I cum..piss squirts out?

My doc gave me 80 20 bag on my leg chance..

I blame the robot. .I'm happy to be alive..the Kegan things..I'm so stupid I was problem just puckering mg butt fer hours...but..I did them...the watching your intake an controlling it after 3 pm..did wonders fer me...I'm 50 still get up to pee like I have my hole life. .

I'm very very proud of you...I no its aggravating. .but I promise watch your fluids after 3 an time it will fade away. ..

It is not 100% guaranteed to work all the time, but very close to it. From experience with mine, if I wait too long to go pee, it will open up to reduce the pressure in my bladder, then close back up. I still wear pads, as a precautionary measure. Before the AMS800 implant, I was using up to 10 pads a day. Now one a day just as precautionary. Best of luck with yours.

Thanks for the info dale112..... I have a question if you don't mind me asking...... Did your nut sack swell up as big as a grapefruit? I'm 6 days out and there is still some swelling. Just wondering,,,,, Thanks

I was lucky, I had minimal swellling, very little pain.

cajun1949, when will you know if it's working? Does it take awhile to start working after it's installed?
