Dutasteride Monotherapy is effective for Newly Diagnosed PCa men not on ADT

This plot shows men that either don't have PCa (Group A) or newly diagnosed men with PCa by biopsy (Group B). Neither group is on ADT.

Dutasteride monotherapy (0.5 mg/day) causes an average drop in PSA of about 50% in both Groups, and an average drop of about 20% in prostate volume. In one man, his PSA dropped from 43 to 3 (a 93% drop)!

About 15% of men in Group A are non-responders, and about 35-40% of men in Group B are non-responders to Dutasteride monotherapy.

It is never a bad idea to check out TA's blogsite for his research findings on various topics.....

here is one article.....

the search engine works very well, as well as a long list of clickable topics on the right side. He has been researching for many years..

I guess finasteride and dutasteride have been used primarily to reduce prostate size.....and I remembered the warning about "false" PSA readings with finasteride.

Thanks.

His website is a wealth of knowledge.

Do you have any concerns about the black label warning on Dutasteride?

This suggests that while dutasteride can be very effective, its efficacy varies significantly among individuals, especially those with newly diagnosed PCa.

But actually, the more reliable is the pharmacy, the better and more effective is the medication, so choose reliable pharmacies, such as - fast-supply24.com

Yes, you are correct. About 15% of men who don't have prostate cancer are non-responders, while 30% of men who do have prostate cancer are non-responders. Perhaps that's why it's not prescribed more often...
