Gleason score 6

PSA 5.76

Diagnosed with prostate cancer in Sept 2019.

Oncotype GPS is 14 very low risk of cancer spreading. Active surveillence is recommended.

Can I get some feed back on these findings or any recommendations?

Have a PSA test every month. If it shows 3 significant rises in a row then you should consider some treatment.

What is considered significant? 2 or more?

I would Call an increase of 1.0 significant.

Great news! Active surveillance is certainly the best option for you - in the longest running study of it in North America, 55% of patients have shown no progression in 20 years so far. I recommend you get on an active surveillance program at a top institution. The protocol for very low risk patients is usually:

• an mpMRI within a year. If positive, a targeted confirmatory biopsy

• Assess PSA no more often than every 6 mo

• DRE no more often than every 12 mo
