Prostate cancer
Welcome to this fantastic site.I am 74.0 y.o.
In 2019, I was diagnosted following a Bone Marrow Biopsy as having a Lymphoma Marginal Zone in the Bone Marrow. On Active Surveillance.
In January 2020 with a PSA of 20.4 μg/L following 12 prostate bioipsies G(4+3=7) Grade 4. Put on Hypofractionnated VMAT-RT 3 Gy X 20 fx = 60 Gy plus 6 months on Lupron Depot 45 mg/24 weeks. My PSA went down (Nadir) to <0.01 μg/L and now is 0.04 μg/L.
Next PSA tes on April 13 2022.
For some unknown reason, when I was told for the 2 cancers, I was not surprised.
But right now, my biggest problem is dealing with my Pulmonary Emphesyma and ALWAYS being Short Of Breath.
Be positive and remember that every year there are NEW treatments and medications.
Wish you good luvk.
There's a fair few CLL leukaemia patients with prostate cancer too.I've had CLL since 2009, FCR treatment in 2016.
Diagnosed with prostate cancer April last year and oncologist is awaiting a decision about whether to go for brachytherapy.
He won't remove prostate or do radiotherapy due to my Crohn's and numerous bowel resections.
