Part 1;

To the point... can someone watch and video you through your i-Pad or i-Phone’s camera. The question took on a new sense of urgency last night so the reasoning for my question will follow shortly!!! Trying to make a short story out of a novel but (whats left of) my mind is just spinning out of control!!!!

Part 2 (go to the last paragraph to skip history);

Due to the overwhelming humiliation on my part, I took this post down. Thank you very much to those that commented. It’s at a point where what will be, will be (sing it Doris)!!! Going with my gut that its all B.S. but ready for damage control as well!!!!

Hi Jimhoy, see link below. Most likely they have nothing and its a boiler plate scam email. Do they have any personal detail that could only have been discovered by camera or other hack ?

Yes?

*Referring to me by my sons name. Same last name of course!

*My cell phone number (these are text messages, not e-mails). Never entered a password for texts messages, so not sure what I can change!!!

*Password has my sons and grandsons 3 initials each. So... some sort of hacking too place?!!!! Some how!!!

I was mistaken thinking I would hear at 12:00. Actually said 24 hours so that will be 2:00. I guess we’ll see!!!

Thanks

Jc

I agree with your gut and the many replies who say its BS, call their bluff and follow the advice of experts on how to shore up your security.

File this under 'blackmail scam'? I received a scam email saying that unless I paid $2K that naughty video of me misbehaving would be emailed to everyone in my email address book. What got my attention was that they knew my low security password and listed it in the email. My desktop computer with a separate monitor doesn't even have a camera so it was all BS. I replied to the email saying hey, best run a virus scan on your computer -- your computer's been infested with malware.
