Just left a meeting with a therapist on a mental health check-up. Hoping to reign in some sporadic anger/impatience issues which is probably not linked to post-RP surgery and six months of impotence. The counselor (admittedly not a physician) mentioned a hormone "pellet" which is being prescribed by OB-GYNs for male sexual health. This sounds a little too good to be true, which usually means it is. Anyone on this site have a reaction to or knowldege of this treatment?

Female Hormone Treatment for ED??
Do you mean Muse? It's an alprostadil pellet one inserts down the urethra to get an erection.
She (my therapist) "thought" the pellet injected into the butt cheek to increase libido was testosterone.
I am 62. After five years from removal of prostate I went for a implant two years ago . Working very well and would have liked to go for it much earlier. My believe is that if you are not having success in erection within twelve months from operation then it is time to consider penile implant.
That sounds like you're having a great time with it! So glad to hear. I'm certainly keeping my mind open over the long term. The Loop -- as good as it's been working for me right now -- is not going to perpetually be a solution to the inevitably growing ED problems that will come up anyway as I go into later and later senior years. That's even if I never had prostate cancer with treatment of RT & ADT.
I won't even have my first post-radiation PSA test until June 2020 -- 6 months after the effects from the last 3-mo Lupron shot wear off. Would be nice to regain at least some T by Sept 2020. I'm a pretty old hippy as it is -- but with a libido that's hanging in there through ADT.
