Hi all, I had my first baby in January 2017 by emergency csection in which they had to make a vertical incision so have therefore been advised if we have any more children we will need to automatically have an elective csection.
Had anybody else had an experience of needing a vertical incision and has this caused any problems with baby number 2? Were you consultant led due to a higher risk pregnancy?

Is the vertical incision in the skin or uterus? I don't believe the skin incision makes a difference... more of a cosmetic thing. Did they say this due to the reason of needing a section maybe?
Sadly after any c section you could run into complications, especially if very close to each other.
Thanks for your reply. It’s a vertical incision in the uterus and this is the reason the consultant has said any future pregnancies would also need to be delivered by csection as going into labour may put too much pressure on the scar.
