Heya, congratulations on twins. Have you tried phoning your midwife or gp? They mY be able to help or advise on ways to make you less uncomfortable x

I feel your pain!!! I’m 34+4 with twins at the moment and I’m not sure I’ve slept for the past two months! I don’t have another child but I can only imagine how exhausting that is on top. Can you speak to your obstetrician about an earlier safe delivery? Explain how much pain you’re in? X

Have you tried several regular pillows instead of a pregnancy pillow? They may help as you can rearrange them any which way you want. The third trimester is so uncomfortable so I understand what you are going through. For your pains I would recommend yoga. It’s good for alleviating pregnancy pains and also helps with getting your babies in a good position. Yoga can also help to deal with contractions and labour when the time comes.

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy x

I’m overdue with just the one baby and am now struggling too. Feel like I’m fit to burst, I’m aching all over too and I’m hardly sleeping also. Like Ribena1987 says try regular pillows between your legs whilst sleeping on your left side although I can only handle this for a couple of hours before my left hip aches and wakes me up or I have to make another trip to the loo. The only other position that I can get comfy in is sitting upright with lots of pillows wedged all round me to stop me slipping down and rolling onto my back.

It’s a good idea to get yourself an exercise ball to sit on instead of a chair/sofa. That really helps me and is good to do circular movements to ease the pain in the hip area. It’s worth trying if you haven’t before.

I’m finding both day and night are very long and drawn out at the moment so I do try to distract myself with small tasks so going to the hairdressers is a great idea.

Good luck with your twins. It won’t be long now.

My sis had twins first preg in Feb 2016, is a Type 1 diabetic & had the dodgy pelvic thing with the hips & eventually pre-eclampsia (all sounded very scary & hard - even tho I'd been cream-crackered while preg with my son in 2015, who was 2 weeks late as he was due April Fools Day & born 15th April the cheeky tyke!) Anyway, pretty sure there was lots talk about her having them early (as apparently in multiple births, they can be prem), so hopefully you may not have 8-12 weeks to go but more like 4-6 weeks!! (I say hopefully to ease your pain, but with my fingers firmly crossed that the twins are healthy if early too). The girls were due April time & delivered by caesarean on 29th Feb 2016 in the end. They were happy & healthy, sis in real mess (like pneumonia after, etc. Nearly died - though I did too for diff reason - very good!, but brief, diet though bless her; lost like 4 stone went from size 18 or so to size 10 & was in hospital 2 weeks after birth). However, disclaimer - very specific situ due to her being type 1 diabetic, so unlikely you will be this ill after & she's absolutely fine since (tho of course knackered running round after nearly 2 year old twins)! Our other sis has boy who was 3 in Nov, then our tyke is 5 months younger, the twins 10 months younger than him (roughly) & then other sis has her 2nd, a 1 year old girl who is 11 months (roughly) younger than the twins - our parents are both happy & slightly overwhelmed!
