Hi, hoping someone could share their experiences/recommendations with me as to which reflux formulas have helped.
My son is currently taking the cow&gate reflux formula but it takes 7mins to make up which can be a pain and sometimes my son gets upset and screams as he is super hungry.
I have seen the sma staydown and aptamil. I have also read about Enfamil AR, does anyone have experience with this or help me as I want something that my son can take straight away if possible. Plus he is getting a lot of griping paun with the current formula he is taking.. Thank you,!

All reflux formula takes 7 minutes unfortunately as you have to allow it to thicken. You need a level 3 teat for reflux formulas. You also can’t make it in advance and leave it in the fridge as it turns to a thick gloop! I remember when mine was a newborn that 7 minutes felt like a lifetime! My daughter has Gastro-oesophageal Reflux Disease, we tried lots of different formulas and for us, aptamil was the worst and Hipp organic suited her the best. But babies are obviously different so you may need to give a few a go. Have you spoken to a GP about medication? Good luck, I hope you get it sorted! X
Hi, thank you for your reply! Those 7mins take forever!!! Especially with a screaming baby! The new pro sma anti reflux is made straight away, no waiting time. However sadly it is not suitable for our diet.
We're currently on ranitidine! I'm not sure if you remember I had previously made a reflux post which we spoke about medication in. It's suiting him the best.
I actually didn't spot hipp organic at my local supermarket will have to go to a bigger asda maybe.
Ah sorry for not remembering lovely. Yes unfortunately Hipp reflux can only be found in big Sainsbury’s, boots and Asda. Even the smell of it (I think) is nicer than the others.
The HV tried to get me to wean my daughter off reflux milk at 3 months and then again at 6 months but it just wouldnt stay down. Don’t feel under pressure to do the same if they ever mention it to you too! We see a paediatric dietician now and she said it’s fine to keep her on the reflux milk until she’s one and off formula all together x
