Does anyone have any tips on coping with headaches?? I know they are really common. Mine are not severe, but they are very persistent and come with nausea, some days I feel like it never goes away. This is a new pregnancy symptom for me that I started getting about 3 weeks ago. Paracetamol has never worked for me as a painkiller so it seems pointless to try taking it now. I am having loads of trouble with sensitivity to smells so that sort of rules out anything aromatherapy related.
Anything worked for anybody else?

Paracetamol never really did much for me either but I've had a few awful headaches during my pregnancy and I've felt terrible. When a bad headache strikes I get a full fat Coke (not good either I know but i only have it in emergencies), take a paracetamol and lie in a dark room with a cold compress. Somehow a few gulps of Coke seem to help.
Thanks for the tip - funny but I would agree with the comforting powers of Coke, early on I found it helped with feeling sick! Perhaps it's the caffeine in it that helps with headaches? I'm sure I read somewhere once that caffeine can help some kinds of headache....but may have remembered that wrong.
I've been suffering with headaches on and off. Almost like tension headaches with a band of pain starting at the forehead and working it's way round to the back of the head... and then making me feel sick too. I bought some 4head which is just like a chapstick but for your forehead and you just apply throughout the day when you are suffering. The pharmacist said its fine to use in pregnancy. I find it works most times when I use it 😊 hope this helps, sorry for essay!
I tried a 4head stick through last week and although it doesn't get rid of the headache it does feel really nice and takes the intensity out of it! I take it with me everywhere now, think I might be becoming a 4head addict Thanks for the tip.
That's okay! Glad it's been able to take the edge off things. I keep mine with me wherever I go too... I know I don't drink enough when I'm at work so it gives me the opportunity to take the edge off whilst trying to take more fluid, instead of popping paracetamol when it's not really necessary😊 happy 4head-ing!
I have also had minor but persistent headaches. I found I need more fluid than normal to not get dehydrated) aim for at least 2.5 litres a day. I found this helped. Also, the headache sticks you can buy over the counter are good (natural menthol) I use it before I go to sleep.
