Flu Jab.... shall I or shan't I?
I've just rung to book mine. ..I had whooping cough on Fri and felt it was too much on one go and because I was admitted with my asthma for a week I dint want to take any chances and also because of swine flu. .. my boys have coughs and colds. Other mums on here have had it and all went well s
Mine is booked for later this month, never had one before but talked to a few friends who have had it and decided better to be safe than sorry xxx
Had mine at the beginning of my pregnancy in January and had no side effects. And didn't get so much as a sniffle through the year either so I loved it lol
Worth it to protect your baby. Got mine booked.
I had mine a few weeks ago and I havnt had any side effects! Worth it to protect your little one
Got mine today & my whooping cough - sore arm!! x
Flu jab isn't a live vaccine so can't give you flu. Probably be daft not to with it being nearly winter but it's personal choice
Had mine a couple of weeks ago, and no side effects as prev mentioned its not a live vaccine
I'm having my first one on Saturday as I think it's better to be safe and protect the little bubba inside x
I had mine at 37 weeks, with no adverse reaction (there is no live virus in the vaccine, but it does contain egg protein) and it will help give baby protection too, before the birth and also after through breastfeeding.
New mothers can suffer some serious, life threatening, complications if they contract flu soon after birth and with my husband being both the bread winner as well as asthmatic being vaccinated was a no brainer for me. Also if you've got the flu, it can't help but impact on your capacity to look after baby because you feel so bad. Each year the vaccine changes slightly for the new flu season so now is and excellent time to get it done. Either way its your choice, I hope this helps
Thank you SO much everyone... I'm only 9 weeks, I'll get it booked
