The flu jab only covers the three main strains of flu for that year so you could of had another strain

I've had the flu jab too jut still caught cold. Do you actually have flu, your entire body will be hurting and you'll be unable to get out of bed if it's flu? If it's a bad cold, the flu jab doesn't protect against that. It sucks as you're limited to what you can take!

I had the symptoms from last two days but better now. Now got blocked ears and runny nose hope it goes away soon. Yh even I had flu jab had really bad cough. It’s first pregnancy get really worried

I’m going to put it out there that from the sound of your symptoms you probably don’t have flu but a cold. Unfortunately there’s not much you can take for it but honey will help with the cough and try to get lots of rest. Hope you get well soon x

If you had the flu, you wouldn't be able to get out of bed! Everything aches. Many people mistake a heavy cold for flu! but flu can kill. That's why we have flu vaccination. Also, pregnancy often affects the mucus membranes of the nasal area, leaving you with a stuffy nose.

Just wanted to add if you have a temperature you need to stay on top of it and not let it get too high - it’s not good for baby. Always call the number on your notes if you have any queries about anything x

I had a cold in September after taking the flu jab, I'm 27 weeks tomorrow and i have a cold again. It is so frustrating, like you I'm taking lots of lemon and honey drink, raw garlic and ginger. I really do not want to take tablets as i read an article few weeks ago about how the use of paracetamol ,ibuprofen or aspirin in pregnancy has link to cerebral palsy in babies.

I would always be wary of what you read on the internet no link between paracetamol/aspirin and cerebral palsy ... ibuprofen is not recommended in pregnancy anyways but for other reasons not cerebral palsy.
