im in pain

iv a ulser before i got pregnant its so bad now it keeps me up its right in the middle of my rib being to doc last week got painkillers is it normel to have it so early im 8 weeks pregnant im so scared its something like a miscarraige as the pain was bad last night

when you say "pain" is it like a pain that may-be stopping you from doing something like bending down to pick up something from the floor, or is it a sort of pain which can be handled with taking another course of painkillers?

a pain that comes and goes its tender to touch just under my ribs in the middle had it before and end to hos told a ulser but now its worst since i got pregnant

As you are still in the very early stages of pregnancy there's not much advise or thoughts I'd be able to give you ( I'm sorry) but the best thing I could say would be to continue taking the painkillers the G.P gave you (every 4hrs or so) & see what happens by Monday morning.

What pain relief are you using???.....Off prescription I would probably use paracetamol every 6 hrs now that you are preggers, I have taken that dose for a number of ailments along the way, not that strong but takes the edge off. I have also had Co-Codamol 500mg paracetamol + 8mg Codeine as prescribed by the doctor. You can buy this strength over the counter at a pharmacist but I would only ever take drugs on advise from the doctors.
