Im due August 2014. 6 weeks pregnant cramping is this normal
Hi, I had cramping from 6-8 weeks similar to when your about to get your period. Freaked me out and worried me!
You can get this with implantation and your uterus getting used to things.
If you bleed speak to someone, if your worried also talk to someone but the cramping can be normal.
Cramping can just be ur body stretching to accommodate ur new bundle of joy, I'm 29 weeks & still get it xxx
Hi hun firstly congratulations! Cramping is usually a grey area in early pregnancy and many fond it difficult to distinguish between normal and not normal. I am currently on my 6th pregnancy (7 weeks) so I hope I can help. Around 6 to 7 weeks your uterus has stretched to the size of a small grapefruit so you have to think of all the shifting about that your insides arw having to do to accommodate this grapefruit. You will have ligaments stretching and bowels and bladder being squished. You may occasionaly feel a pinching pain near to your hip bones on eithrr side. This is your ligaments bearing the pressure of a growing baby. Now if your cramps are like period type pains this could be down to your uterus growing as I have experienced a lot of this pain myself in previous pregancies. In fact on my 5th the cramps were that bad I cried with it. There is as I must mention another reason for period pains/ cramps in early pregnancy and that is miscarriage. I only say this because period type cramps is one of a few signs of miscarriage and to make you aware that if the cramps get more severe and you start to bleed/spot fresh blood with clots to seek medical advice. Now as an unspoken rule of thumb (for me) as I have had 3 miscarriages in rhe past I have always bled first them started cramping very bad. Trust me if it was a loss you would know as the pains are like contractions. Implantation occurs earlier than 6 weeks so that can be ruled out! Its your first baby and your body is adjusting I think you should just pop a paracetamol and relax it all sounds normal to me x
I had what felt like mild period cramps in weeks 4-7 n then eased off since. My doctor said as long as you're not bleeding n cramps aren't severe, not to worry. Good luck!
Thank you . I wasnt sure Whether t have a early scan to see if everything is Ok
If you're really worried tho, for peace of mind, phone your local EPAU.
Yes pretty normal feels like ur going to come on sometimes as well. ... give it time the morning sickness can kick in anytime from now. ... or u may be one of the lucky ones to escape it all the best with ur pregnancy
Hiya Yeh I got a lot of cramping until about 15 weeks. I did hav a bit spotting at about 7 weeks but early scan determined baby was fine. Im now 29+5 xxxxxx Good Luck xxxxxx
I found that in my first 12 weeks I had cramping around the time that I would come on my period. It really did worry me but It is completley normal and pretty much stopped when I was 12 plus weeks. It can be normal to get pains throughout your pregnancy, everyone is different. Speak to a midwife etc if you are worried as they will really help to put your mind at rest x
