I was on that, the doctor told me that it can take up to 12 months for the effects to wear off. I got pregnant after 18 months from my last shot. I took the pregnancy care vitamins before I caught with my little boy so not sure if they had something to do with it. I would just say be patient I know it's hard but I think the more we got worked up about it the harder things got. Good luck

I found a book called 'The impatient woman's guide to getting pregnant' by Jean Twenge really helpful. It summarises everything you can do to maximise chances and understand your cycle - it's all about timing. They are a bit expensive but I found the ovulation test machine useful in tracking my cycle - you can get them from Boots. From your dates you have only had a couple of periods since April so I wouldn't worry yet. Good luck!!

Oh and I totally agree with what LC 1082 says. Don't get stressed about it as stress can definitely impact on your chances.

I was on Depo from May 07 and had my last shot in June 2011 which would have worn off in the August/Sept. I got pregnant in October 2013 and am now 36 weeks. It is really frustrating coming off Depo as it does take time and I was not told about this when I went on it. However, I did go and see my GP in January 2013 as nothing had happened (so after about 18 months) and he started the process of blood tests etc as this process can also take time. He did say it can take up to two years for Depo to fully get out of your system. Luckily I got pregnant just before I was due to see the Fertility Consultant for the first time. Be patient and good luck :-)

Hi,

I find, having tried to conceive for a number of years then getting pregnant, I gave up alcohol, completely. I don't drink a lot but having a glass or two of wine made a huge difference to me. Also always the 14th day of your cycle is a god day. The first day being the first full day of bleeding. Relax, it'll happen, I'm sure, most people take a while, despite what your friends say or that you hear, most people take a while to conceive.

Your body will give you signs that you are ovulating, read up on what they are and see if you can track your cycle naturally. There are ovulation strips you can try too. Being in the mood is also a good sign that you are fertile as well. Also just be healthy and be calm. It can take a year to get pregnant for any woman so don't worry.
