I think I have at last found the level of semi-abstraction that I was seeking with this one. 9" by 12" watercolour with salt, wax candle and oil pastel. I splashed the masking fluid around like crazy doing this one. I think I shall try somewhere else now.

I love the picture Brent particularly knowing how and what you used to do it.
Hi that's stunning colours and effect very impressed 😁🌝🌟
yummy textures and shapes.
This has certainly given you lots of experimentation and I do really like this version and your techniques, but there was an earlier version I liked very much too! But it's always great to reach the point where you, as the artist, feel happy with your outcome! 👍😊
Some lovely tones and draws your eye to the distance, making me want to walk around the corner. I like the path and left bank and the salt plus the sky but I liked the previous right grasses very much. Thank you for sharing, I enjoy seeing what you are working on.
What great progression ... thanks for sharing the steps you’ve taken to get to personal satisfaction. I’ve been studying several artists’ abstract painting techniques online recently, but still haven’t made even beginning marks on my blank canvas! Don’t know why I’m so tentative recently, but your frequent posts of your work stages are inspiring ...
I love this and the various mediums used bring out colour and light effectively. As always you inspire me to get out the paints. Thank you!
Lovely, and done with a multitude of different mediums I would have never thought to use.😀👍
