I've tidied up and slightly rearranged my living room, had my Tuesday reading group this afternoon, after that I quickly popped up to the shops, some are now closed and others at the moment are still open. As I think I'm going to be off work for at least 6 weeks, if not longer, I'm going to think about doing something that'll take a while to get done SSAW (stay safe and well) ๐โค๏ธ

Hi Jenny,
I had breakfast and lunch today. Then, I went on the computer and went to the groups on HU and talked to other friends and family on Facebook Messenger. I created a few postings and did some replies to other postings/members. I also had done emails. I plan to read and do some knitting this afternoon (weather permitting) and then get ready for dinner tonight and watch some TV before going to bed.
Have a good evening, Jenny.๐๐๐
Checked the latest on HealthUnlocked. Spent the morning going thru stuff pitching or donating. Feels good to clear out. I'm trying the minimalist approach and keeping what I really need or that has real scentimental value and getting rid of the other stuff. Got several bags to donate and 2 to pitch.
Wish I could be as ruthless. I set off with good intentions. I do need a major clear out but I end up putting stuff back. Loads of new stuff, never worn. Too good o get rid of. Dressy or formal type stuff . You never know what might crop up. Everyday stuff. I am still using. That only leaves stuff that no longer fits, and I have already got rid of most of that. Major hoard is shoes. I have loads. Trouble is when I buy new, I don't get rid of the old so they just accumulate. I have some I bought over twenty years ago, but because they are hardly worn, and were expensive, I won't throw them out, even though I wear flat shoes practically all the time now.How stupid is that? Just looked through the window. It is snowing. It is my DH's birthday today and his grandchildren have bought him jigsaws. He has early dementia and got into doing them during the first lockdown. It looks like it will be the ideal opportunity to start again. A welcome change from constantly watching TV. Try to have a happy day everyone. Stay safe.
How's Angie the cat getting on?
Baby is fine and will be 17 in April.
Sheโs going in for her endoscopy next week. After that hopefully they be able to decide how to treat her. I had her at cat emergency last weekend for throwing up again. Sheโs doing better on the cerenia they gave her. I have to feed her a little bit throughput the day. Thanks for asking after her. Sheโs chasing a bit of carton plastic around the kitchen right now๐๐
Hi Jenny
Looks like you day has gone well and very wise words about staying safe and well.
I went a little mad with my step count today but the weather was absolutely beautiful, post to follow with the photos.
Have a lovely evening.

Yes, let's hope so!!A worrying day today!! Dave came walking into the house at about 10:00!! He had a funny turn at work. He said he was just tidying up when he looked around, one eye seemed to stay facing one way and the other one looking around. Someone drove our car and brought him home and another fella followed to take his mate back. Anyway, Dave phoned the Drs who said go to A and E. I couldn't go with him cos of restrictions. He was going to drive up but I put a stop to that!!! He said a ok I will get a taxi. Dr said everything seemed ok but to go home and find the nearest primary eye care. He went there. They said it could have been the start of a migraine which he used to get. He had a terrible cluster one a couple of years ago which was agony. They said they couldn't find anything sinister but would send everything to our drs in case they want to take it further!!! Unbeknown to me he hadn't had his cholesterol or blood pressure tablets since THURSDAY, ordered them yesterday, I phoned up to make sure he they would be ready today!!! So I wasn't best pleased!!!! He sleeps in the spare room at the moment because if being a key worker in a prison and covid-19. Rest assured I will be keeping tabs(pardon the pun) on him now!! He could have had a stroke!!!! He said look what your tabs have done to you and I said yes but yours are cholesterol and blood pressure!! He looks a lot better now, he said it frightened him which I knew it had so I don't think he will run out again. It scared us too
I will let someone else get a word in now ๐๐ xxxx
Hello there Lynne. What a terrible fright for you. I hope he has got it sorted and it was the lack of taking his tablets. I know how much you rely on him and can relate to how difficult things are when as a couple you both have problems. it can be very scary! Keep us posted as to how things are. Other than that are you settling into the New Year OK. More of the same here. Just had my blood test. First time in over a year. Apparently my Thyroid needs testing again! and my CKD had dropped a level from last year. so that also needs testing again , together with urine sample. Wouldn't mind so much if any of this was actually causing the chronic pain etc. I am living with day to day, but it isn't. So I never seem to get any further forward with finding answers for that!
It looks like it will be a while now before you get to see you son. Isn't it an absolute nightmare. It is my DH's birthday today (82) and our daughters called around yesterday with cards and gifts. A fleeting visit... Both grandson and granddaughter have got him jigsaws as he got into doing them in first lockdown. So now is well prepared again this time Just looked through the window and it is snowing. Anyway time to make a move and start the day.
As I said, keep in touch, I don't know what has happened here but I haven't been getting any posts. I must admit I tend to respond to posts rather than initiate them as I am still not sure how to do itand it is a bit trial and error if I make an attempt. Anyway, take care, stay safe. Sending love and hugs. xx
Thank you. Yes, Dave is fine now, thank you but I will be checking his tablets now !! I've got another UTI. Took a sample on Monday and the Dr said there is a but of protein in it but I will give you some meds and send it off. She phoned me up this afternoon, I've got a different bug and needed different antibiotics!!Hope DH enjoys his jigsaws.
I will definitely keep in touch.
Take care and stay safe Lynne xxxx โค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ๐

He's won't say what it was and obviously no-one was allowed to go in with him. I do think it was him not taking the tablets that caused it!!! It's a good job work were on the ball as well!! It gave us all a shock but I think it's made him realize how important his meds are!!! Xxxxโค๏ธ๐โค๏ธ๐
Busy day for you.
My wife and I did some fire protection brush clearing and burning of all the cut stuff. Took all afternoon, lots of chainsaw work and dragging things around but it was a nice day. Rain tomorrow so we get a day off.
How does a Reading Group operate in isolation. Sorry. I have just realised realised you can do it remotely now. I am such a dinosaur. Even after 12 months of this rubbish lifestyle I am still unable to do that. Unfortunately there is no one to teach us, so we are missing out but then again, when this is over, we probably won't need it anyway!
We do it on zoom, we're all agreed it's not the same as meeting in person, but it gives us something to do, and to 'see' each other
I am quite envious, it sounds great fun. Especially as things are at the moment. We are having very little interaction with other people, and as DH has early dementia, is barely mobile and 'slightly' deaf, things can get quite a bit stressful . Let's hope it won't be for much longer!
Its just a matter of getting used to it as I have done job interviews on it and I look back at how much better I have got with it since my first interview on it last April.
Now I feel it was a blessing in disguise not getting that job!
I joined an hour long exercise class this morning (for strength and balance). After that, I did a 20 minute meditation. Unable to nap, I listened to some music (Gustav Holst's Cotswold Symphony), then made lunch for my wife and I. In the later afternoon I finished a watercolour painting I was doing (it is admittedly crap), then cooked dinner. I did a few Welsh language lessons in the evening, then retired early to bed after a shower. It is a ritual that my wife and I watch something on Netflix each night. After that, I an early night, for a change, being knackered from being unable to nap earlier. I think this describes my routine for most days, but I am comfortable with it. It seems best to have a routine in these lockdown days/weeks/months.
Future learn, long early morning walk which I enjoyed, listened to music and I prepared some veg for future meals as well.
