I don’t know how to start, but I’ll try. I was sick, still am, and im working. And i live here at my work place. So, if im sick, I couldn’t go anywhere because my home is far . I didnt tell my manager im sick or that I wanted a rest, because I thought that she knew. And maybe she offered me to rest. But she didn’t. So, i work while im sick, i know its my fault for not telling her in the first place, but i dont know. I really want to go home😞 in the end i did tell her, but my fever was already gone by then.
Am i expecting too much?

I think that you should take a rest if your sick ❤️ I sometimes thought that people knew about something before hand but i did let them know or remind them just in case if they forgot
Hi Syyha,I see that was a bit of a predicament for you in living right where you work. It's always awkward to explain to your boss that you are sick and need to take a recovery break. My last job (many years ago now, because I'm long retired), was in a medical field, very fast paced and tiring and my manager used to make any of us reporting sick feel very guilty indeed. And I think that's a part of being afraid to say it.
But you do need to say it. If it happens again, no matter how hard it seems, and no matter what you think the reaction might be, you should explain. The thing is that bosses come to know their workers quite well, but they can't, any more than you can, predict or feel when someone else is ill. Look at it the other way. Can you name all the times when your boss wasn't feeling good at all but stayed at work? I bet the answer is that you don't know. And in the same way, she probably doesn't realise when you are ill too. So just say it. Bosses know when they have good workers who don't have time off unnecessarily. But even if she didn't acknowledge that, you still have to take care of your health. It's a confidence thing. You can overcome this feeling, if you practice whenever it's needed!
Why do you not tell her you are sick? That's ok but maybe it would make you feel better. 🌻❤️
